Low Vision Classes

People Who Care plans to offer three six-week sessions of their low vision classes in 2025. These are tentative dates based on the availability of our class leaders/experts. Susie Hout leads the first four classes, sharing tips on how to continue living safely and independently. Susie welcomes guest speakers who specialize in there area of expertise that present their information. Tom Perski, Low Vision Rehabilitation Specialist, leads the last two classes of the six-week session, updating class participants on the advancements in technology for those with low vision. (Tom’s biography can be seen on our Low Vision page).

Our low vision classes are offered on Thursday mornings, beginning at 10 am for about two hours. The dates for 2025 are:

March 6 – April 10, 2025

July 10 – August 14, 2025

October 2 – November 6, 2025

These are tentative dates and are based on class leader availability.

If you are interested in attending one of our six-week sessions in 2025, please call our Call Center at 928-445-2480 and let your interest be known. Due to high interest in these classes, we do request /expect you to make every effort to attend all six classes. We tend to limit class sizes to about 15-16 participants and ask that you register in advance for the 6-week session you want to attend. We currently maintain a waiting list of persons interested in the sessions and will be calling them first, as they have been waiting to attend. However, that doesn’t mean there is no room for you.
