Volunteer Orientations

People Who Care completes one-on-one orientations for new volunteers, although we will complete small group orientations if the demand requires it.

Low Vision Classes

People Who Care plans to offer three “Confident Living with Low Vision” courses in 2026. A course consists of four, two-hour classes held on Thursday mornings from 10:00 am – 12:15 pm.  These classes cover such topics as medical conditions; research and vitamins; library resources; organization and safety; community resources; reading, writing, and lighting; magnification; and technology.  Tom Perski, People Who Care’s Low Vision Rehabilitation Specialist, and other volunteer experts, facilitate the classes.

If you are interested in attending , please call Lora at 928-350-6785 to sign up. Class sizes are limited, so sign up early!  The first 2026 course will be held on four consecutive Thursdays: May 7, May 14, May 21, and May 28.
