It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Sarah Hoover-Meyer, our Founder and first Executive Director, earlier this week.
Sarah had the vision and courage to establish People Who Care in May of 1992, planting the seeds of compassion and service that continue to grow today. Because of her dedication, countless Neighbors across the Quad Cities of Northern Arizona have been supported with dignity and care.
We are grateful that, at our Volunteer Appreciation & Recognition Event on June 7, 2025, we were able to honor Sarah. Many in attendance had the chance to express their heartfelt gratitude for her leadership and lasting impact.
Now, in our 33rd year, we carry on Sarah’s legacy, striving each day to embody the compassion and community spirit she inspired.
