A Morning to Remember: Volunteer Appreciation Brunch

This June, People Who Care hosted our annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch, and what a joyful celebration it was! With over 100 attendees, the room was filled with gratitude, laughter, and community spirit.

We were especially honored to recognize our beloved Founder, Sarah Hoover-Meyer, who at 96 years young continues to inspire us all with her enduring vision and compassion. Her presence reminded us of the heart behind our mission and the legacy we continue to build upon.

Guests enjoyed a delicious brunch prepared by Greenway Catering and Events, accompanied by the beautiful sounds of classical violinist Kevin Korbus. The combination of great food, heartfelt moments, and elegant music created a truly memorable morning.

The event was held at Quad City Christian Church in Prescott, and we extend a heartfelt thank you to them—and to Pastor Ken May—for graciously hosting us and dedicating time and effort to prepare the space so beautifully.

To each volunteer who gives their time, energy, and care—we thank you. You are the reason we can continue making a difference in our community.
